The inner process

I wanted to challenge my hands’ capacity by making blind-folded the Korean ceramic form of a Moon Jar, a bowl whose form I admire, but for the creation of which my hands do not have memory.

Confronting results

How do I translate a mental – inner – image of a pot to a three dimensional object?
Do my hands indeed always have to rely on my eyes?
How do I touch / feel the 3rd dimension?
How do my hands convey the experience of concave and convex forms to my brain?
The results were quite confronting.
